- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 Tablespoons butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Kosher salt, to taste
Instructions
- Assemble sandwiches. Spread one side of each slice of sourdough bread with butter. Place half the slices butter-side down on a work surface, then top with a handful of each cheese and a pinch of salt. Top with remaining bread slices (butter side up) to form sandwiches.
- Cook sandwiches in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cheese is melted and sandwich is browned on both sides. Note: Depending on the size of your skillet, you may need to work in batches here.
